Not every dog needs a full adventure excursion every day, but plenty of dogs do better with company and space to run than being home alone for eight or nine hours. That is what our daycare is for.
Dogs spend the day on our 40 acre property in Oratia, with room to roam, other dogs to play with, and someone keeping an eye on them the whole time. It is not a kennel and it is not a crate. It is closer to a big backyard with fields, an orchard and bush trails, run by people who are there all day.
Who daycare suits
Daycare works well for dogs that get anxious or destructive when left alone, high energy dogs that need more than a yard can give them, and owners who are away for long stretches and want their dog properly looked after rather than just contained. It also suits puppies that need supervised socialising with other dogs while they are still learning their manners.
A typical day
Dogs arrive in the morning, spend the day with the group on the property with regular breaks, water and rest, and go home tired in the evening. We keep group sizes manageable so dogs actually get supervised rather than just let loose and watched from a distance.
Areas we cover
Central West Auckland, Oratia, Green Bay, Titirangi, Laingholm, New Lynn, Glen Eden, Sunnyvale, Henderson Valley and Henderson.
