Puppy Visits in West Auckland

A new puppy and a full-time job don’t mix easily. Our midday home visits give your pup a toilet break, their lunch, some play and a bit of company — and build the calm, consistent routine that gets them ready for our adventure walks when they’re old enough.

Why puppies need a midday visit

A puppy can generally only hold on for about an hour per month of age — an eight-week-old simply cannot last a full workday. The accidents, crying and chewing that follow are not the puppy being naughty; they’re a normal puppy left too long. A short visit in the middle of the day breaks it up: outside for a toilet break, fed if it’s dinnertime, a little play, and back to sleep.

Just as importantly, those midday visits teach your puppy that being alone is normal and fine. Consistent, calm visits from the same friendly face — same words, same routines, same back door — build the confidence that makes everything else easier: crate training, night routines and, later, joining the pack.

What a puppy visit includes

From home visits to the adventure pack

Once your pup is fully vaccinated — your vet will confirm the timing, usually from around 12 weeks plus a short wait — and after our free meet & greet, they can graduate to our supervised off-lead adventure excursions on our private 40 acres in Oratia.

We ease new pups in gently: short on-lead introductions, carefully matched packs, and recall built up over their first weeks. Calm, positive exposure in those early months is what shapes a confident adult dog — the goal is not just a tired puppy, it’s a confident one.

Puppy visit FAQs

Any time — even before vaccinations, because visits happen in your own backyard and home. It’s the safest way to keep a young puppy’s routine going while they’re too young to walk outside.
As a rule of thumb, a puppy can hold on for roughly an hour per month of age. A workday is too long for most pups under five months — we’ll agree the right pattern together at your meet & greet.
Long enough for everything to happen unhurried — toilet, food, play, a tidy-up and a note. We’ll agree the visit length at the meet & greet based on your puppy’s age and energy.
Yes. Consistency is the whole point: the same friendly visitor, the same words and routines, every visit. And when your pup graduates to adventures, they’ll already know the team.
All of our usual West Auckland pickup area — Titirangi, Oratia, Green Bay, Laingholm, Glen Eden, New Lynn, Sunnyvale, Henderson Valley, Henderson, Waima and Woodlands Park. Send your street to confirm.
